12 Lifestyle habits to stay happy and healthy

Happy Thursday everyone. Today is a new beginning. Making better habits to stay healthy & happy is great for your mental health. I am not 100% healthy, but i am working towards it even when i slip up time to time. I always practice ways to nourish my mind, body, & soul, so i can feel relaxed and confident. We are heading to 2021 and instead of waiting until the new year lets make some new changes starting now. The more you work at this, the more you develop new skills & learn new rituals that will improve your well-being daily.

  2. Enjoy outdoors (if you don’t already).
  3. Listen to your body & put positive thoughts into your mind.
  4. Take a break from all social media accounts
  5. Make self-care a priority
  6. Daily exercises at least 20 minutes.
  7. Stop waiting for certain moments to make lifestyle changes.
  8. Drink smoothies.
  9. Eat real food more often.

3 Ways to finish the year strong

We’re coming to the end of the year which is a really hard time for me to stay motivated i can admit.

It’s easy to just say “forget it” and throw away all my routines and daily practices out the window.

I tell myself I’ll start over in January and before I know it it’s been weeks since I did the productive things i had lined up.

The problem with this is that when January 1st finally comes around I’m not very well prepared to put in order all of my new goals and resolutions because i’m still recovering from a shitty year i had.

I do like to use the end of the year to set myself up for my new goals and I think it’s actually the perfect time of year to refocus so I’m prepared to start off the new year on the right foot. I just know i have to be consistent, dedicated, and prepared.

I hope this article gives you some ideas to help you finish the end of the year strong the right way.

GO OVER GOALS (REVIEW)

It’s times to go ahead and review your goals and new year resolutions you set at the beginning of this year.

Have you notices that most of the time we have gotten to the end of the year and we already went invisible on our goals we set. This is the perfect time to restart all your goals again.

Good question to ask yourself.

What could you do to make this year a success? How will you make this year a success without holding back?

Set up some kind of standards between now and the end of the year. You could commit by staying true & dedicated to your words, so you can enter the new year with a positive & strong driven mindset.

BREAK IT DOWN TO THE (T!)

Brainstorm. Brainstorming is definitely important. I like to overlook my goals before i even take action. I have to be clear on what my vision is and what i actually want in life.

Starting with the vision and then setting goals that will help me create the life that I want to live has really helped me stay focused on my goals throughout the year.

CREATE A VISION

Honestly i can admit, I use to set irrelevant goals. I always made a list of goals that i knew 100% i wasn’t really into or wasn’t going to take action on.

I never was the type to fantasize & have big dreams about what i really wanted in life and what my life would actually look like in the future. I felt like my goals were uninspiring and that was all I could really actually strive for at that time.

So of course i stopped settling goals and i finally decided to “create a vision” for my life and things started to get better.

Although at the time i was very emotional and always believed that i’ll never achieve anything in life, because of my bad experiences growing up, I still made it happen.

50 things that make me happy

There’s no big secret or surprise that my life have been tough. As you see i blog about mental health a lot, because i go through it myself. The past few years i have been fighting it. So it’s up and down, but i have gotten so much better with coping with it.

Being in a “dark hole” is not how i necessarily described it. More like “A bunch of rocks being thrown at me repeatedly.” Yes at times i felt at most times my life was ruined, and it was no more happiness left in me to keep going.

Then POW!…

Here goes the interesting part.

I had given up. I didn’t really have the motivation and strength to. I always felt i needed that support to keep pushing. All i thought about is how i wanted things to be back how they were, and how i can move forward in life. All i wanted is to feel, act, and know myself again. There’s nothing like knowing who you truly are.

Here i am today, feeling much better. Actually finding myself, and starting off doing the things i love doing. Writing in my journal, blogging, promoting my new lip gloss business, and so much more. Also working on my mental state, my growth as a woman, and keeping focused. Although everything might not go back to normal or how it originally was, but i do know for the best part things will get better over time. I am beyond grateful now, I can truly say that.

Now i decided to start making a list of different things now, so it can help me throughout my growth & transition during life. I enjoy writing a list of things that make me happy. For me, writing a list keeps me in a very good place in life. I have been negative, or been around a lot of negative people/energy, I never really focused on happiness too much. So when i decided to start making list, I would always come back and read it so i can go cheer myself back up again. I had to remember that i have more of a reason to be happy now.

Making a list of things that make you happy takes your worries away from enjoying the things you love and enjoy. It’s tough to write one a list of things that make you happy, and not smile periodically. This is mine, right here, and I highly encourage & recommend you to write one of your own. Especially if you find yourself in a dark hole or confusing place in life like i have.

Just keep reminding yourself about things that make you happy, things that put a smile on your face, things you feel grateful for, is a good & fresh way to start. I don’t regret my past feelings because i wouldn’t feel how i do today. Being appreciative and acknowledging change is the best way to be.

Life Update: Took a break from blogging. Now i’m back.

eef41b06-4ea5-4d37-870e-2416554cb692

So guess what? I decided to start doing life updates, just to keep you posted with me. I did say before i wanted to start finding new ways to connect with my audience, now i came up with the best solution. So let this be a new start. Life update part 1.

What’s up “Sp fam” (sixteen pages fam)

As you know, Sixteen Pages Blog, is to inspire, motivate, and discuss many topics from self-love, care, growth, and building +more. But for my life updates, you all will be digging into my lifestyle, figuring me out, and following me through my journey/path on pursuing my goals,. Also i will be writing about my fight with depression, my life as a mom, my relationship lifestyle, and so much more. These life updates will be 100% authentic of course. I mean i’m not blocking anything out, straight raw! Anyways let’s get started.

So what’s tea?…..

I decided to take a break away from blogging to focus on a business i started in Late June. The business is called SixteenKisses. It’s a beauty company selling a variety of beauty products. At first i was making it a priority to blog daily or every other day while still working on my business. It just became to much stress on my mind/body. I would be up all night and be super tired, and on top of that i still have a regular job so lol i’m sure you get the point now. I am incredibly ecstatic that i am completing another goal in my life and moving on to the next chapter. It wasn’t easy making all this happen but i did it. I can’t wait until my business expand, but i am patient and i am staying consistent. Now i am back to the blog world like i never left. I have a lot of upcoming things i want to do on my blog. I put a pause on those goals i had for my blog site and now i am ready to achieve them.

I have new interesting plans that will make my blog site more fun, entertaining, and helpful. So, let me throw some scoops at you! I decided to start doing interviews but in a different way. I will ask a selection of questions, and whomever will answer them, send photos, and leave a link for people to find them and i will add it to my interview section. All interviews will be put on a blog post in (writing). I decided to start doing interviews because it’s a good way to support & share the stories of successful men/women around the globe. There are people like myself that is killing the game, and not being noticed like as we should.  The goal is to provide examples of men and women who are walking in their purpose and want to show the world there gift.

Besides me cooking up all these interesting plans i have coming up, I also been working on a lot of me time. Self-care has been playing a big part on my life now. I been exploring the nature more, finding new things i love to do. I have a new series on Netflix i can watch while i’m alone with my cup of coffee, and i also been treating myself to a nice size glass of wine before bed time. I just been so mellow, nonchalant, & relaxed. It feels good i can truly admit i love taking time out for myself even if i’m not doing to much of nothing.

Well anyways sp fam, that’s all for now. Stay out on the look out for the next life update :). Check out my other blogs if you haven’t yet.

See you all soon!!
