Now that I’m 28 going on 29 in December, I just realized that I started late when entering in to the entrepreneur world. At age of 27 is when I started to think like wow I’m ready to be wealthy. And truthfully I’m sure other mid & late 20 year olds know that this is the most hardest time in our lives. Why? Because we are finally in adult hood and we are experiencing so much responsibilities. Bills, rent, gas, children, school, work, all of those things put pressure on us.
I was stressing more than actually finding myself and really trying to figure out my next step in life. One day I just woke up feeling different, feeling like I need & want more, feeling like this isn’t for me. It’s a honor to be comfortable with who you are, but at times it wasn’t because I was thinking that people will judge me for just figuring out what I actually want to do in life. So now I know I need to fight off any bad spirits that’s trying to bring me down and stop me from moving forward in life.
Our 20’s should be a year of self-discovery. Try different things until you find what you really like and want. No matter if it’s with someone, or by yourself. There’s nothing wrong going on a journey by your lonesome. Sometimes even relationships can be a distraction, and I wish i knew this then instead of now, but hey life is set up to learn and discover.
When I look back I realized how irresponsible I was, I couldn’t save money for shit, and I was so quick to spend. It’s a time in life where you have to stop buying all that expensive shit when you can save that money for your future success. Now that I’m on a journey for financial freedom and independency Starting now, I been brainstorming and figuring out a plan to build & become wealthy. My mind is already set to become a millionaire 1 day, and I’ll never change that or settle.
I decided late in life that I want to become a blogger. So, I started a blog Sixteen Pages. It has been two years, this is my anniversary blogging month. I always enjoyed writing, being expressive, sharing good advice, and discussing important topics, so I knew blogging was going to be something I’ll enjoy. And It was.
So now I listen to entrepreneurial, money making, and uplifting podcast on Anchor, another one called “podcasts” that came with my iPhone, and a couple more other podcast platforms. Listening to podcast has motivated me in so many ways. I’ve changed my thoughts about sex, relationships, and money. I now have a better sense that anything is possible with faith.
At first I was more afraid then happy to pursue my dreams, now I’m ready. I am not afraid to travel now, I am not afraid to take my brand to the next level, I am not afraid to quit my 9-5 so I can start my adventurous lifestyle while blogging. I am ready to travel out the country to learn, explore, meet new people, promote my brand, and to build my happiness.
In the path of transitioning into the new you, you might lose people on your way. But sometimes I honestly feel “if I lose you, that means you were never meant to be in my life.” You will lose & meet new people, it’s possible.
Make sure you focus on self care. Self care has been very momentum in the past few years. Back then I didn’t understand the concept of self care. Self care involves your health, mental health, appearance, etc. Just taking care of you and making sure you are good first is self care. That’s my motto now and my motto walking into 2020.
Be responsible. Sometimes when we get to a certain age, we start to be unorganized, and that is definitely not good especially if you are stepping into the entrepreneurial life. I admit myself that I am not responsible at times and I slip up. And I learned my lesson, like a big lesson. I remember I didn’t plan out my week for paying off bills, and end up doing something totally different and was broke by the end of the week. I went without gas, small meals, and barely no gas to get work. “Can I say the struggle was real?” I definitely don’t want to go through that again. Be responsible. There is an app to by the way. Using a planner has really helped me be more responsible, on time, and way more organized.
If I knew what I know now I’ll tell my younger self to be confident, independent, don’t give up, and focus on what you want and go for it!

Let’s be super honest here, creating just a blog can be super confusing sometimes, and might have nights where you end up having a huge ass migraine! Well sometimes it’s easy said then done that when you post content you want to make sure you target the right audience. 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂 𝒊𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒖𝒓, 𝒑𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏/𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒍, 𝒐𝒓 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆. Sometimes it can be hard, but once you actually start figuring out different tricks & tips on how to build, it definitely will work. Social media does play a big part of building your blog but you have to make sure you do it the right way! I will give you 7 tips on how.
Don’t use your personal social media account to promote your blogs #MakeAnewAccount
When you you use your main social media account sometimes it defeats the purpose. “My opinion!” I think it is more valuable when you make an account specifically for your blogs. You can be able to explain better in detail, have debates, and all around target the main point of whatever blog you just published. You want to make sure your audience be able to understand, relate, & focus just on that blog, so you can be able to bring them to visit your website. It’s all about posting good content & giving your readers more of a reason to enjoy your content as well.
Use your creativity
Being creative is something that comes natural regardless. Sometimes a lot of people feel they aren’t creative, but don’t understand that everyone is in there own way. Find different things to post on your social media that will bring attention to your social media. Host a giveaway, have a poll on your Instagram story, or go live and interact with others.
Make videos on (Insta story, Insta post, Igtv)
When you make videos, it just helps brings more audience, and also a good way to show your authentic self. Let people get to know your personality, and be able to visually see you. Sometimes by just posting pictures aren’t just enough. Talk about your upcoming blogs, what do your readers want you to blog about next, or just whatever that comes to mind. You are the host remember that, so think of some of your good skills you have, and put them to use. The more you stay active, the easier it will get to start getting people to notice you.
Be consistent with your followers
Yes, consistency is the key. When using social media, your social skills are important. People adapt to those who are communicative & open. Make sure you reply to comments, & DM’s, because that’s what your audience would like. No need to act sassy and ignore those who are asking a simple question, or just want to shoot you some advice. Not even that, but what if a company is interested in working wit you and like your content. You don’t want to pass up good opportunities.
Post daily
Stay active by posting everyday. Even if it’s a simple quote, picture, or just something that you want to discuss. Especially until you build your social media following up, eventually you can make a routine on what days you post, but save that when you elevate & actually have a good amount of following.
(HIGH QUALITY PHOTO)
High Quality Photos
Photos is another way to bring a large audience. Make sure you download good photo editing apps like Photoshop Express, PicsArt, and many more. Even myself can admit that when i see awesome photos it brings my attention right away. Sometimes you have to think as if it was you who will be interested.
Use HASHTAGS!
Hashtags is another way to build up your following, actually a quick way. There are billions of users who use hashtags, be one of them. Make sure you use the right hashtags and also switch them up. Sometimes using the exact same hashtags for months & months, will make it hard to get your page noticed. So yes use hashtags! You can search up viral hashtags on google of course.
I hope these tips can help, they definitely helped me in so many ways. Screenshot so you can have them in your phone.
