Forgive yourself then Free yourself

Extremely thrilled to write about this topic. I know a lot of people including myself has or had a dark cloud over their shoulder because of something they fault themselves about. Especially when it’s something we have control of. What we don’t realize is that, it’s just a feeling though. A feeling that’s only temporary. Feelings can’t kill you, but running from them can.

We as humans visualize how things can be so much better then what we are currently going through, but not realizing how much power we have to make our visions come true. But when we doubt ourselves, we are lacking and not pushing towards prosperity. Anybody can prosper, it’s simple. But the mind is powerful and you have to compete with yourself, challenge yourself, and to become a better version of you. Our life is a balance and you just have to learn how to maintain it. Holding on to pain just makes you suffer.

Three words:

  • Free
  • Open
  • Balance

Once you forgive yourself. It’s time to free yourself. You can free yourself from anything that can hold you back. Like for me, I am freeing myself from negative energy, negative people, negative thoughts, disappointments, toxic locations, toxic people, lack of growth, and the list goes on. But what most people don’t realize is that we have more freedom then we think. You have to just open up your mind to new things, it’s always good to venture out.

Try writing down what bothers you, and writing down ways you fixed or ways you can fix those problems. Write down why you haven’t forgiven yourself, then write down how you forgiven yourself. This will give you clarity an will help you open up your mind to finding new ways to cope with what’s bothering you.

I always make sure I encourage people to write ✍️ whom reads my articles because writing definitely does help a lot. Especially if you don’t want to go to a psychiatrist or vent to anyone. Writing is a peace of mind. You can come to a conclusion with a lot of situations in your life.

I really hope this blog helps someone out there with clarity or at least given someone a different outlook on how to move forward in life. Remember forgive yourself, and free yourself!

Three techniques to slay your Anxiety

I suffered from anxiety for years, starting at the age of 18. The Panic attacks and anxiety started at the age of 22, and it definitely took over my life and I found myself avoiding any situation I thought could induce my anxiety. 

The thing with anxiety the more you ignore it, the more it will come hunt you. Sucks right?…  But wait, the more it hunts you, the more difficult it gets.

Sometimes just getting yourself together, like your appearance can change so much in your daily life. Don’t be a debby downer so much and find love within yourself. When we are stressed we get to the point where we just let ourselves go, and all that do is add more to the plate. You definitely want that plate to be empty with no worries. 

In otherwise, SLAY THAT ANXIETY!…

#1 GET IN TUNED WITH YOURSELF

Think about all the good things you notice about yourself. Write it on a sticky note, journal, notes, hell wherever! Find yourself and figure out your happiness. The point where i’m getting to is that in order to be happy you have to make yourself happy. When you make yourself happy then what? you are in tuned with yourself. Can’t nobody tell you nothing different. AT ALL!….

 

#2 REDIRECT YOUR THOUGHTS

\When you notice you are starting to have negative thoughts then redirect your thoughts to something positive. Before i have an upcoming test, or job interview, I would always be negative. “I doubt i’ll pass” “I can’t do this” “I don’t think they will hire me”. Guess what happened when i had those thoughts? I FAILED! I had to start training my mind to turn a negative back to positive , and i still work on this til this day now. 

 

#3 BE MORE WORRYLESS

We have to get out of that “worry” mode. Sometimes when you worry too much it actually triggers you to have anxiety attacks. We apply so much pressure on ourselves and we don’t have to. Live in the moment and be fearless. When you start to worry, find a good solution that can help prevent that. Remember it’s all in the head. Your mind will play tricks on you, especially for those who minds wander 24/7. So you have to play tricks back by winning over anything that’s stopping you from letting go of your worries. If you can’t make it to your close friend party on time? Hey! it’s not your fault. You still haven’t passed that test quite yet? Keep trying. Your close someone is treating you like crap and you don’t know why?! Who cares, let it go!. Stop worrying about situations or people who isn’t making your life no better good or bad.

Hitting your late 20’s? Make the rest of your 20’s a year of self-discovery.

Now that I’m 28 going on 29 in December, I just realized that I started late when entering in to the entrepreneur world. At age of 27 is when I started to think like wow I’m ready to be wealthy. And truthfully I’m sure other mid & late 20 year olds know that this is the most hardest time in our lives. Why? Because we are finally in adult hood and we are experiencing so much responsibilities. Bills, rent, gas, children, school, work, all of those things put pressure on us.

I was stressing more than actually finding myself and really trying to figure out my next step in life. One day I just woke up feeling different, feeling like I need & want more, feeling like this isn’t for me. It’s a honor to be comfortable with who you are, but at times it wasn’t because I was thinking that people will judge me for just figuring out what I actually want to do in life. So now I know I need to fight off any bad spirits that’s trying to bring me down and stop me from moving forward in life.

Our 20’s should be a year of self-discovery. Try different things until you find what you really like and want. No matter if it’s with someone, or by yourself. There’s nothing wrong going on a journey by your lonesome. Sometimes even relationships can be a distraction, and I wish i knew this then instead of now, but hey life is set up to learn and discover.

When I look back I realized how irresponsible I was, I couldn’t save money for shit, and I was so quick to spend. It’s a time in life where you have to stop buying all that expensive shit when you can save that money for your future success. Now that I’m on a journey for financial freedom and independency Starting now, I been brainstorming and figuring out a plan to build & become wealthy. My mind is already set to become a millionaire 1 day, and I’ll never change that or settle.

I decided late in life that I want to become a blogger. So, I started a blog Sixteen Pages. It has been two years, this is my anniversary blogging month. I always enjoyed writing, being expressive, sharing good advice, and discussing important topics, so I knew blogging was going to be something I’ll enjoy. And It was.

So now I listen to entrepreneurial, money making, and uplifting podcast on Anchor, another one called “podcasts” that came with my iPhone, and a couple more other podcast platforms. Listening to podcast has motivated me in so many ways. I’ve changed my thoughts about sex, relationships, and money. I now have a better sense that anything is possible with faith.

At first I was more afraid then happy to pursue my dreams, now I’m ready. I am not afraid to travel now, I am not afraid to take my brand to the next level, I am not afraid to quit my 9-5 so I can start my adventurous lifestyle while blogging. I am ready to travel out the country to learn, explore, meet new people, promote my brand, and to build my happiness.

In the path of transitioning into the new you, you might lose people on your way. But sometimes I honestly feel “if I lose you, that means you were never meant to be in my life.” You will lose & meet new people, it’s possible.

Make sure you focus on self care. Self care has been very momentum in the past few years. Back then I didn’t understand the concept of self care. Self care involves your health, mental health, appearance, etc. Just taking care of you and making sure you are good first is self care. That’s my motto now and my motto walking into 2020.

Be responsible. Sometimes when we get to a certain age, we start to be unorganized, and that is definitely not good especially if you are stepping into the entrepreneurial life. I admit myself that I am not responsible at times and I slip up. And I learned my lesson, like a big lesson. I remember I didn’t plan out my week for paying off bills, and end up doing something totally different and was broke by the end of the week. I went without gas, small meals, and barely no gas to get work. “Can I say the struggle was real?” I definitely don’t want to go through that again. Be responsible. There is an app to by the way. Using a planner has really helped me be more responsible, on time, and way more organized.

If I knew what I know now I’ll tell my younger self to be confident, independent, don’t give up, and focus on what you want and go for it!

Have you had a point in time in your life when you felt that you didn’t have no one?: Expressions Part 1

This Blog is me opening up, and expressing myself about my life. I am focusing on opening about me more and giving out 💯 my authentic self, pure love & honesty.

Have you had a point in time in your life when you felt that you didn’t have no one? You felt stuck, lost, and just wanted to give up. You just feel a strong pain in your stomach that want leave, and you feel useless and full of worry…

Life can really suck at times, because once you become an adult and your life didn’t turn out how you visioned it when you were 16 or even 18, so you just completely feel like all the dreams, visions, and plans you had was a big waste.

You have all these people thinking your so spoiled, or you just live such a happy life, and your perfectly fine….

Well this is me, I am HER. I have been through so much. Sometimes as much as i try to hide it, it still affects me until this day now. But, I can say i am a lot stronger.

Life can just be a hassle at times. It’s like your fighting yourself to be better and not give up on YOU. But, sometimes it’s something that is trying to pull you back from happiness. It can be for multiple reasons. The energy around you, the way you think on a daily, or just the lifestyle you still live that you know that you need to change it. I honestly feel that has always been my problem, “STICKING TO THE SAME LIFESTYLE.”

Sometimes partying, drinking a lot, dealing with toxic people, can make it hard for better life changes. I didn’t take that into consideration, and i still kind of don’t until this day now. Why?… Because it’s hard to just let people go and i know it can turn into a big mess. But of course my confused self ask myself all the time “Seqouia, why do you even care?”

And of course, I really don’t even have an accurate answer for myself. I feel like my life is based on bunch of confusion. I’m tired of waking up angry, I want to wake up with full of happiness. Although i don’t just wake up mad everyday, but it does happens often.

I had to really sit in have self-talks to figure out what can i do to stop feeling the way i feel. How can i change things without making it my problem to stress about it, and not let it bother me from becoming a better version of me? What can i do to make myself, “SEQOUIA” smile more instead of everyone else?

Sometimes i know feelings within yourself can be temporary just because things aren’t really going right at the time. But honestly, who really wants to even be sometimes “depressed.” 

NOT ME!… AT ALL!!

But anyways, these feelings can’t change on its own right? I would have to be the one to fix these issues. As a human of course we don’t feel it’s that easy. We feel that money can change a lot of stress. And sad to say, it’s true for most people! I am one of those people by the way. I will not sugar coat anything i never do. Once i have money in my presence i am totally fine. I make sure i take pre-cautions when it comes to money though, and i am glad i do. One thing about me, although i love money and i may think of other quick ways to make money i never act on my actions, I continue to keep working my damn ass off and do what i have to do.

Over time which is recently, I say about a total of 5 months ago. A little have changed but a lot more needs to still be fixed. Which i am kind of excited about. I mean can’t no one change over night right? It takes time to become a strong WOMAN/MAN, when you have always been weak 1/2 of your life. I always tell myself it’s okay to cry because soon all these sad tears will be tears of joy. Soon all my worries will be complete. That’s the mindset you have to have. You have to know that no matter how you are feeling today, tomorrow, or even next week, those feelings will go away.

I learned over the last few months to be passionate to myself, and to go with the flow. Over time things will be different. Whoever you second thought about being in your life eventually will drift away, all the finance issues you been having will do a full 360, the way you been living will change, and your struggles will no longer be a struggle any more. Sometimes we have to talk things into existence, and keep a positive mindset. I had to learn the hard way, and i mean the HARD WAY. I had to work on being more positive and grateful that i am living pretty okay, because it’s people out there that don’t have a roof over there head and actually need help.

I know i have a lot of goals i would love to achieve but my main goal is “HAPPINESS.” Being happy is more important to me then anything. Because without happiness your life will never feel complete.

I am glad that lately i have been opening up more about myself so my readers can actually get to know me more. I really post blogs to uplift and motivate others, but now I feel the need to just open more to the world, so people can actually feel they know me through words. I look at anyone who is reading my blogs as a friend. Not a “fan or supporter.” You never know who can relate to your lifestyle, and you never know how many people might actually would love to get to know you and learn you.

Opening up and being your authentic self is always a good look and build trust with others. I can write a book about my life and the things I been & go through. That’s why I am sharing to the world and so thankful for god steering me in the direction of becoming a blogger. Blogging is my reliever, my medicine, my go to, and my happiness.

Spending more time out doors can help relieve stress: FACTS

Being out doors definitely can relieve stress. Some people actually like being boxed up in the house but technically that can increase your mental health symptoms. If you know me you definitely know I love taking walks. I love nature, I love seeing all the greenery & butterflies flying around. Nature is free, so there shouldn’t be no reason why you shouldn’t take time out your day from being a couch potato or in your bed and get some fresh air.

Nature also can help you Function better mentally in a healthier way. Sometimes we have to stop our regular things we do to relieve stress like, playing video games, smoking, drinking, and things like that. If your a book reader, take a book, a little blanket and go to the park and read. Go to the beach and sun bathed get some of that good ole vitamin d, or even just go outside to smell the beautiful flowers. If you notice, most travelers are excited most of the time. Travelers always energized, ready to site see, and always ready to discover other parts of nature they have never been before.

 

Don’t be afraid to step out your comfort zone to try new things, be free & have no worries”

Out door physical activities can help. There is so many physical activities you can do in our environment. Yoga •jogging •dance •martial arts •painting and much more. Sometimes the smallest things can actually help us mentally & physically, we just haven’t figured it out or even thought of other ways to help reduce our stress level. I’m not saying you have to be out doors for us but at least take 15-20 mins out your day. But when you go outside to get some peace, make sure it’s just that. I’m not talking about going to get food, or ice cream, or just errands. I’m talking about actually using out doors as an relief, to get peace, to vibe by your lonesome & hear your thoughts.

I hope this explains how out doors can relieve stress good enough for you. I used every single details listed and it helped me in so many ways. I definitely can say I am more calm, and I stress way less about things I can fix. Of course we need to think about our health, but our mental health is just as important. Take care of yourself and focus on you & your happiness. Don’t be afraid to refresh your mind, body, & soul.

HOW TO MAKE TIME FOR THIS THE SEASON

It has been a crazy week for me, preparing for school and dealing with all the late christmas shopping and trying to please my little girl. First off, hope you all enjoyed your holiday! As much as I love this cold season, let’s be honest it’s kind of depressing. Well you know what? not kind of, it is stressful.

My thoughts and emotions have been over the place this past week with trying to type up as much blogs as i can, writing this book, trying to land my first client with http://www.allthingsbysb.com, thinking about my goals for 2019 and what the new year holds for, figuring out new areas of growth for “Theonlyseqouiab” Blogs, and also having to deal with the slacking of not being consistent with building a business.

Personally, I am someone who likes to plan, brainstorm, and do a lot of research. I am very proactive, I even talk out my plans in my head, yeah so what lol! And so when I feel like I don’t have things going right, or feel uncertain about things like the new year.

I’ve had to repeatedly tell myself that ‘girl, it’s ok, just relax and stay positive, your time is coming. I’ve had to constantly tell myself you can’t have EVERYTHING your WAY! No one does, honestly. You have to keep faith each day. I found it hard with trying to cope with everything i got going on in my life. I always felt it would be helpful to share my thoughts on how to make time out for yourself during the holidays though because i feel it gives a big relief expressing your feelings and someone can be going through the same thing.

Yes, it’s amazing seeing family and friends, going out, having drunks nights, clubs, but sometimes all this can be overwhelming and completely stressing. You don’t want to look back at this time and wish you made out more time for yourself and backtrack when you will need time to rest, time to reflect, time to sit in think out on what this past year has been like for you.

So, with that being said, here are some ways to make out time for yourself this season!

 

1. PLAN OUT YOUR TIME

The first thing I would suggest is planning out your week ahead of time. Write down everything you need to take care of in your planner and the day it needs to be done by. First thing first, don’t forget about giving yourself time. You could treat yourself or just spend quality time doing what you love. It could be a couple of days or half a day. But, make sure you are doing this regularly though, you’ll be overly thrilled by the results.

#2: LEARN TO STOP ALWAYS SAYING YES

For me honestly it’s hard to say no, and i mean its hard! But sometimes, you’ve got be selfish with your time and patience. It come to a time when you need to put yourself first. There’s only so much you can give to others . If you are not feeling something, you don’t have to do it! Don’t force yourself to do things you don’t have no time for. Can’t make it for a birthday party? not your fault. Don’t have the funds to go out to an event with your friends? Not your fault! Use this time to evaluate and rethink about everything that you been dealing with and be ready to throw it all in the past!

#3: LIFE CLEANSE!

YES! I said it, life cleanse. What i mean by this you need to cut away everything that distracts you, stressing you out, pressure, and whatever else that is giving you a big headache right now. Ok for an example, Social media. Social media can be very good for your sources and yes that is where the money is at, but sometimes you need a break! We don’t realize how much we are addicted to social media and we need to take time to just put down our phones and let it just be in it’s on world sometimes. Relationships: Boy! can i tell you, that sometimes a relationship can be a distraction when it’s not on good terms. Well if you need to take time out to take a small break like a 2 day vacation just to focus on you do it! that don’t mean you have to break up but sometimes being to yourself for a while is needed. Your phone it self also can be tiresome, sometimes we tend to text a lot, and sit and stare on our phone even when it’s dry. It’s okay to sit your phone down for a couple hours just to read or take a quick 2 hour nap, remember your health is more important. So, treat your health like you should. I know we like to constantly update the world with our news but sometimes, we have to ask ourselves if it is necessary; we have to check our motives and priorities.

Why should you start a blog?

So, have it came across your mind on why should you start a blog? 

There are many different reasons why you may want to start a blog. I started my blog basically as a hobby, and it all started from there! There are others who start their blog as a way to make money right from the very beginning, but that’s not a good idea. When you first start blogging, it should be because you enjoy it.

Many people start blogs for all kinds of reasons. Honestly, there is no right or wrong answer why you should start being a blogger.

Below are reasons/ideas you may want to think about while starting a blog.

 1. Be apart of an community: I have met a lot of people through my blog. And, I also enjoy all the feedback from readers and blog friends that I’ve made over time. Being able to connect, meet, and learn from others is one of the biggest positives of blogging.

    2. Grow: Being a blogger can help you grow in so many ways. You will become even more determined in the topics that you enjoy. You will constantly learn, meet new people, and experience new things.

3. Have Fun: If you are into blogging like myself, it will definitely be fun and satisfying for you. I like reading other blog post, finding new people to chat with, and learning new things. Blogging is a fun business to have, regardless of the subject that you are writing about. Who wouldn’t want to travel across the world with out worrying if you going to lose your job? Blogging is a hobby you can turn into your daily job.

4. Blog for others: No matter what type of blog you have, you are helping other people. Someone may be inspired by your posts, they may learn something new and different, they also may find enjoyment from reading your writing.

I like to talk about the benefits of blogging and also like giving out motivation. For me, I have learned a lot and I’m still learning until this day now. I am still educating myself about blogging, and learning how to make extra income, all just by reading other bloggers post. 

Hopefully, my blog posts help and motivate others to be great and to continue there blogging career. For example, I hope that all of my “how to” posts help motivate others to learn how to generate income, and to come up with good ideas and topics to talk about. I also hope that other bloggers purpose of being a blogger is to build a business, help others build, and catch flights more than a ride.

5. Build a business: Blogging can be a great way to improve the business you already have, or to create a business all on its own. I know plenty of successful bloggers and they all say that blogging is the best thing that has ever happened to them. I agree 💯%! While you are blogging weekly/daily it can give you different business ideas, and also help you learn so you can expand and continue to succeed. You have to brand yourself while building, like posting on all social media and mobile professional networks like https://www.linkedin.com.

Tell it TUES-DAY

Hello my loves :), Happy Tuesday.

Today I want all my readers to relax, time is going by fast and the weekend is approaching. I know your overwhelmed with work, I know your boss probably gets on your last nerves and your so ready to quit and be your own boss, I know your patiently waiting for your business to expand, I know you are under distressed, I know you are in pain from the striving long nights and early mornings to get to where you want to be, and can’t wait to heal. I know, I get it, it’s okay, let it out!

So, how can we work on all these thoughts we got swimming through our heads? What can we do to fix it?

At this moment, or this particular time you are not in the right state of mind, you don’t know which way to go or exactly what to do. But seriously, we need to stop making problems harder on ourselves. Worrying ourselves will not help the problem, to be exact it will make the problem worst. We have to learn how to relax, and understand that everything can’t just come on time or when we want it to come. Sometimes it takes for us to refresh our minds, and just wait. Patience is the key to happiness. Their is no time on success.

Discussing on what i love most about myself, self love, and how did i overcome my past

Now that i am much better with confidence, and having self love, i love my ambition. I am more confident with who i am, and i am determined to be successful. It feels good to have the strength to get up off my ASS!, and strive hard for my future. 

I love that i can take failure, I had an bad issue with being a Debbie downer when i fail. I had no faith, no self-control, and also no ambition. Believing in myself wasn’t even fit into my lifestyle, because i didn’t. I failed at so much i didn’t think i even had the ability to succeed, or achieve any goals in life. ☀

“I am my own medicine. I healed myself, and by the grace of god i am not mentally sick anymore.”

I felt as if the world was over looking me, but in reality I was the one who was! I didn’t see what the man above saw in me, he seen a lot, that’s why i am here writing this feeling strong as ever. I can tell the world what i love about me 1000x, and feel no way about anyone passing judgement. It was sleepless nights when i use to cry, and couldn’t get any sleep because i was so embarrassed within myself.

The thought of smiling again, and being able to smile without thinking negatively feels so good, I get butterflies every time i see my reflection. I didn’t have the best life but best believe i am making the best out of it now. My self love journey started in 2015, but got better in 2018. It wasn’t the easiest but i did it! That’s why my goal is to inspire women, men, kids, whomever to love who they are, and never think less of themselves. It’s not worth the pain, its not worth the headache, it’s not worth the sleepless nights, and the suicidal thoughts. Don’t allow yourself to be the person you really don’t want to be. Be a leader and act on it. Your life is your future. Remember that.

HOW TO BE PATIENT ON YOUR SIDE-HUSTLE JOURNEY

So, you have a splendid business idea or a side hustle you’re really excited about. You’re not ready to leave your current job but you would like to dedicate a solid amount of time each week to continuously work on it. 

Quick question.. When do you find the time?

It can be easy to let a side hustle stay on hold when your schedule is too busy, but there are plenty of ways to dip some time out in your days.  

DON’T TRY TO RUSH BEYOND THE PROCESS

I was so focused on making everything easy, when if everything was so easy everyone in the world would all be successful with out no doubt. Don’t get me wrong i am a very hard worker. I take my blog very seriously, blogging is a job for me and possibly my future success. I have to make sure that i am consistent and that i get to inspire a lot of my readers. Blogging isn’t as easy as people think. 

To get an big audience and loyal people you have to put in work, and i mean a lot of work. It’s overwhelming because there is so much competition out there, you start getting discourage, but that’s not going to happen right? 

The good things of life will come as long as you stay positive. If you put in the work and you show up consistently, it is only a matter of time before big things start coming through for you.

So, this post is to encourage you all out there that you can do it! It is possible! Focus on your journey and don’t get carried away with other people’s success, because the only success you should be concerned about is yours. I wish all my side hustlers the best and hope+wish that you are able to move up and leave your current job.

My favorite video games

Hola to all my viewers and blogger friends. I wanted to share something else that i love that i never blog about. Video games. Yes, i am definitely a gamer lol. I play video games online a lot as well. I’m going to add a list of games i play. 

For Xbox/Console:

  • Roblox                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            At first i didn’t really tell everyone that i am a gamer behind closed doors, because sometimes the circle you hang with aren’t interested in those type of activities. For me, gaming gives peace and happiness. It helps me concentrate on something positive to do when i am really bored. Gaming some what fulfill my needs. Now, i am definitely more open and can careless what others think. At times i do feel it gets to addicting, but once i feel that way i start to slow down just a little bit. Well, i am wrapping up this blog you guys, just wanted to share my favorite games, and also share what i love doing in the comfort of my own home :).

Five things about me that i would like to change before 2019:

  • Appearance: Yes, i would like to change my appearance. I would like to wear heels, business attire, and carry hand bags more. I honestly feel if i want to be a boss babe i have to start dressing like a boss babe. Also, i need to pamper myself more, keeping my nails, feet, and face well groomed.
  • Mental Heath: Start taking my mental health more serious. If you read my blogs you know that i have anxiety and depression disorder. I got better with coping with it, but at times i still get overwhelmed and still tend to get depressed. I have to keep finding happiness, and figuring out what will balance my life out. Happiness is my  main target i am trying to reach. It’s important. 
  • Savings: I have a terrible spending habit, I would like to start being organize when it comes to money. I need to save up and stop over spending when i know it’s not good to. Every week i need to at least put money to the side and save.
  • Mother/daughter time: I need to start spending more fun time with my daughter. Now it’s like i work, she go to school, i help her with homework, and then we off to bed. I would like to do more fun activities and take her more places or places she still haven’t been. A mothers bond with there daughter is always important.
  • Travel: I been saying that I was going to travel more but I still haven’t because unfortunately I really don’t have the income to. This time I’m going to make it my #1 priority to save money, and to start traveling. I feel like I deserve it and I am definitely in need of traveling around the world. It is so many things that I know I’ll be amazed to see.
