8 SELF-CARE HABITS FOR THE MIND

As humans we have to cure our minds & focus on self-care first. We tend to focus more on what’s not important then what’s actually important.

Self-care is doing what needs to be done, and balancing all goals you want to achieve in life. Self-care also nourishes your spirit and pushes you to strive hard everyday.

If you don’t take care of yourself or to harsh on your body you will become overwhelmed. That’s why I’ve pulled together 8 SELF-CARE HABITS FOR THE MIND for you!!

1. Take time off. Striving hard everyday is really important because the whole point is to achieve your goals, but sometimes it becomes tiring & a issue.

2. Find some quiet time.  Sometimes our lives are so busy we don’t never have time for peace and quiet.

3. Positive self-talk. Often times, you are your own worst critic.  That little voice at the back of your head can get real disgusting.

4. Get Bodywork. Our bodies store emotional tension in ways that we don’t even realize or notice, and bodywork allows us to release that built up tension.

5. Spend Time in Nature. Spending time in nature can actually be healthy for you, such as lowering your stress hormone levels. Get outside. Go explore, hit the beach, go hiking. Enjoy hearing the birds and the sound of waterfalls, enjoy our beautiful nature.

6. Eliminate Toxicity. Eliminate your amount of time you spend in negative situations or people that drain or leave you feeling stressed & over the top.

Always surround yourself around care, love, & positive energy.

7. Feed Your Mind. As a human, of course we are here to grow, learn, and elevate. Learning something new becomes interesting for us humans because it keeps our lives going and more interesting.

Try reading a new book, listening to a podcast, or even go to a museum.

8. Get Creative. Use your creative skills and put them to use. We all have a creative side, sometimes some of us just don’t know exactly what it is. When I say creative I don’t necessarily mean you have to be artistically creative. For an example, I like to take pictures, also I like to dress up, so I will dress up and take multiple photos and edit them, that’s part of my creativity gift. I was always told I take nice photos of myself.

Have you had a point in time in your life when you felt that you didn’t have no one?: Expressions Part 1

This Blog is me opening up, and expressing myself about my life. I am focusing on opening about me more and giving out 💯 my authentic self, pure love & honesty.

Have you had a point in time in your life when you felt that you didn’t have no one? You felt stuck, lost, and just wanted to give up. You just feel a strong pain in your stomach that want leave, and you feel useless and full of worry…

Life can really suck at times, because once you become an adult and your life didn’t turn out how you visioned it when you were 16 or even 18, so you just completely feel like all the dreams, visions, and plans you had was a big waste.

You have all these people thinking your so spoiled, or you just live such a happy life, and your perfectly fine….

Well this is me, I am HER. I have been through so much. Sometimes as much as i try to hide it, it still affects me until this day now. But, I can say i am a lot stronger.

Life can just be a hassle at times. It’s like your fighting yourself to be better and not give up on YOU. But, sometimes it’s something that is trying to pull you back from happiness. It can be for multiple reasons. The energy around you, the way you think on a daily, or just the lifestyle you still live that you know that you need to change it. I honestly feel that has always been my problem, “STICKING TO THE SAME LIFESTYLE.”

Sometimes partying, drinking a lot, dealing with toxic people, can make it hard for better life changes. I didn’t take that into consideration, and i still kind of don’t until this day now. Why?… Because it’s hard to just let people go and i know it can turn into a big mess. But of course my confused self ask myself all the time “Seqouia, why do you even care?”

And of course, I really don’t even have an accurate answer for myself. I feel like my life is based on bunch of confusion. I’m tired of waking up angry, I want to wake up with full of happiness. Although i don’t just wake up mad everyday, but it does happens often.

I had to really sit in have self-talks to figure out what can i do to stop feeling the way i feel. How can i change things without making it my problem to stress about it, and not let it bother me from becoming a better version of me? What can i do to make myself, “SEQOUIA” smile more instead of everyone else?

Sometimes i know feelings within yourself can be temporary just because things aren’t really going right at the time. But honestly, who really wants to even be sometimes “depressed.”

NOT ME!… AT ALL!!

But anyways, these feelings can’t change on its own right? I would have to be the one to fix these issues. As a human of course we don’t feel it’s that easy. We feel that money can change a lot of stress. And sad to say, it’s true for most people! I am one of those people by the way. I will not sugar coat anything i never do. Once i have money in my presence i am totally fine. I make sure i take pre-cautions when it comes to money though, and i am glad i do. One thing about me, although i love money and i may think of other quick ways to make money i never act on my actions, I continue to keep working my damn ass off and do what i have to do.

Over time which is recently, I say about a total of 5 months ago. A little have changed but a lot more needs to still be fixed. Which i am kind of excited about. I mean can’t no one change over night right? It takes time to become a strong WOMAN/MAN, when you have always been weak 1/2 of your life. I always tell myself it’s okay to cry because soon all these sad tears will be tears of joy. Soon all my worries will be complete. That’s the mindset you have to have. You have to know that no matter how you are feeling today, tomorrow, or even next week, those feelings will go away.

I learned over the last few months to be passionate to myself, and to go with the flow. Over time things will be different. Whoever you second thought about being in your life eventually will drift away, all the finance issues you been having will do a full 360, the way you been living will change, and your struggles will no longer be a struggle any more. Sometimes we have to talk things into existence, and keep a positive mindset. I had to learn the hard way, and i mean the HARD WAY. I had to work on being more positive and grateful that i am living pretty okay, because it’s people out there that don’t have a roof over there head and actually need help.

I know i have a lot of goals i would love to achieve but my main goal is “HAPPINESS.” Being happy is more important to me then anything. Because without happiness your life will never feel complete.

I am glad that lately i have been opening up more about myself so my readers can actually get to know me more. I really post blogs to uplift and motivate others, but now I feel the need to just open more to the world, so people can actually feel they know me through words. I look at anyone who is reading my blogs as a friend. Not a “fan or supporter.” You never know who can relate to your lifestyle, and you never know how many people might actually would love to get to know you and learn you.

Opening up and being your authentic self is always a good look and build trust with others. I can write a book about my life and the things I been & go through. That’s why I am sharing to the world and so thankful for god steering me in the direction of becoming a blogger. Blogging is my reliever, my medicine, my go to, and my happiness.

Anyways if you can relate to this blog drop a comment telling a little about yourself that you would like to fix or you can just email it to me 😊.

5 Tips to heal your depression

Hey to all my blog buddies, new blog buddies, and new readers. I have had a hard time with battling depression/anxiety for a while now. And i definitely know that i am not alone when it comes to mental health. It’s so many other people that suffer from anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and it’s sad that a lot of us don’t get recognition as we should. I blog about my anxiety, but not as much as i should, because the simple fact i figured out how to cope with it better. My cope is blogging, mind exercises, self-care, and so much more. I turned my blog into a full lifestyle blog, so i can be more open to connect with others, and just tell it like it is. Now i feel that i need to continuously discuss mental health topics more, because i touch so many people that suffered like me, and not only that i get personal emails from people who actually open up to me about there mental health and want tips on what i do to keep me strong. So, lets get to it, I have 5 tips that can help heal your depression.

#1 MAKE LIFE CHANGES:

First thing first, make life changes. I am not going to act as if i’m so perfect and i made so many changes in my life, but i can say i made enough changes that gained me enough faith to make it through out the day without being depressed. Change your health, If you didn’t know, eating unhealthy 24/7 isn’t good. Bad foods increase your stress level, mood swings, and also mess with your weight. We all know excessive weight gain & weight-loss also can put you through an depression. Now i am going to be honest with you, if you aren’t the healthiest like myself, at least take baby steps. I am not the healthiest, but i am working on it, which makes it even better that i am dominant & consistent with trying. Work out. If you aren’t into doing strict work outs, like lifting weights, hiking, or riding a bike. You can actually take a walk for 30 minutes a day. If you don’t want to walk, get on the treadmill for 30 minutes and walk 2.0 mph.

#2 HAVE FAITH

A lot of people who suffer from depression, do not have faith in themselves. That is a (true fact). We tend to fear in the society we live in, and not believe that we can succeed in life. That comes with being scared of failure. When you are depressed, you can’t take failure quite frankly. But, what we don’t realize, is that failure comes with life. We are going to fail at some point, and the only thing we can do is keep going. When you are always worried, then it’s hard to accept the fact we didn’t get our way with certain things or situations. You have to learn how to accept failure, and have faith that the next time or the time after that everything will fall into place.

#3 BE OPEN TO NEW OPPORTUNITIES/IDEAS

I know when you are depressed it’s hard to move on to the next chapter in your life because we are always so stuck into the past and what’s current in our life. Sometimes you have to skip to the next chapter and move on to better things. In ordinary to even move forward in life, we have to be open to new things that are coming our way. it is way to much of us with talent, well-educated, & really wised. We tend to forget that though. Well guess what? DON’T. Don’t be afraid to move forward. Don’t lose out on what can be your next big deal, or your next big job that pays the price you always desired. Don’t be afraid to approach others that are in a much higher stage than you, they might be the next help to your solution or dream. Also being open to new ideas can help you stay focus on other things besides the problems you have behind closed doors.

#4 CUT OFF TIME χ

It’s definitely time to refresh your life, meaning to let go of  bad spirits & toxic souls that are around you. In this era so many negative people bring negativity in your life that you begin to be negative to. NOT GOOD! Stop being afraid to let go of certain people that is no good. Not blaming others, because we do have a choice to choose how we are, but just by having someone who is just as negative or worst, can just make sh*t even more toxic. Did you know two toxic people or multiple toxic people together makes your life so much complicated. Drama, messy bs, he say/she say, lies, fighting, and so much other irrelevant non-sense. Who wants to keep dealing with that? NOT ME! and you shouldn’t neither.

You have to be authentic with yourself and know that misery loves company, so the more you entertain people bullsh*t, you will continue to be in something that isn’t even benefiting your life. Don’t be easily manipulated by others. Some people are naturally evil, and you have to understand that it is nothing you can do to change people. So what do you do about that? CUT THEM OFF!

#5 SEEK MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING/HELP & STOP BLAMING OTHERS

Some people are so stuck in there a** that they don’t believe in seeking help. Accept the fact you have a PROBLEM. I DID. YOU CAN TO! Being in denial because you don’t want to look crazy or care about what other people think, will not help you get better at all. You will continue to keep living a lie. Stop living to please others, and live to please you. Self-care is important. So take care of your mental, your body, your soul. Seeking a COUNSELOR works. It’s better talking to someone, who completely knows nothing about you, and will tell you like it is 100%.

Lets be real. Think about it. How many times have you had episodes, because someone “made you mad” or that person or people “sound dumb”, so you just completely went off and throw super massive temper tantrums. If you are the one always “going off and have super bad temperament issues”, i’m sorry you are the PROBLEM. Not 10 people are all just dumb, and you are the brilliant one here, but the main aggressive one that is cussing everyone out.

I had to learn the hard way. I thought about my actions, and really sat in watch certain ways how i react to certain situations. I don’t much throw temper tantrums, but i admit that i have flaws that i definitely needed to work on and still do. I have more problems (Internal then out). I have had debates & arguments no need to front, but not with so many people because i stay to myself a lot. I’m not innocent one bit. I am pretty much open to be honest about my lifestyle.

I can actually open up and admit to the world, I have seek counseling, and also do my own therapy now. I still have some work to do, but the best thing is that i took the initiative to work on myself. I put me FIRST. When you know deep down you have a problem, sometimes you can’t get rid of that problem on your own. It’s okay to admit to it. But, you have to stop living a lie, and live in your truth. You know sometimes is wrong every time you burst out into tears, or you have black outs. You just like to blame others for that problem. People aren’t going to change for you, no matter what you dislike about them, and honestly you have to really sit in think (Who am i to tell someone about themselves), as humans we tend to forget that we have issues we need to work out before judging the next person on the side of us. So you have to understand and realize that no one can’t really make you lash out but yourself. GET HELP. Take your mental health serious, because a lot of people don’t and sometimes situations turn out to a bad outcome. Life is precious, take it serious and be honest with your issues and willing to change them.

I hope that these tips are helpful, if they are shoot me an email or DM me on my social media, Lets chat about it! Life is tough & sometimes we need an extra ear to hear us out!

Negativity is a no go!

  1. I understand how hard it is being around negative people or just in a negative place. Especially when you are trying to build yourself and work on your issues. I tend to always end up being around negative people because i am a accepting person and i try to deal with people for who they are, just like some accept me  for who i am. But honestly, when i get overwhelmed i get overwhelmed.
  2. I can’t try to change and bring negative around me and think that is going to help. No, it’s no help what so ever. Attitude clashes, the energy doesn’t click, a lot of disagreements, and so much more. So now i am making a goal for myself for 2019, i am going to stop accepting negative people in my life, even if i feel it’s hard to, i got to.  You should to.
  3. Living your life stress free without drama, will bring more happiness in you life. I never got a chance to see how it feels to consistently have a smile on my face. At least a couple times out the month i am angry or irritated about something, and it’s tiresome. I usually work out to overcome whatever i am going through but, i even stopped working out for a while, which i shouldn’t have done.
  4. I definitely don’t want to start back having depression and anxiety again, that is the most horrific situation to go through. Mental illness is serious, and we don’t never take it serious like we suppose to. When dealing with temperament problems, stress, anxiety, depression, etc, the best thing to do is keep positivity around you all the time, and also think positive, negative thinking will also bring no good towards you life. Have self discipline. Know what is right and what is not right in your life. Being a firm believer is always what gets your far and is a big part of growth.
  5. Moving into my own place sort of helped me as well. I can block whatever i am going through and have peace at home. Find what puts you as ease. There is nothing like making a hot pot of coffee/tea and relaxing on your couch watching whatever you want without dealing with no one or anything. I just enjoy myself as my company, i can actually think without making my head hurt to think.

The best part of building yourself is figuring yourself out while doing it.

Sometimes we have to reevaluate who are, and take a good refreshment

on our minds and bodies. Happy face, is a happy heart, and a happy heart

                  is a stress free life.

I just want to be great, i just want to  be happy, i just really want to make the people i love happy, so i do whatever i can to work on me, so i can be the best at whatever and bring good energy to other people lives who might need it.
